What is JEE?

The Joint Entrance Examination is India's national entrance test for the 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIITs and other top engineering colleges. It has two stages.

Step 1

JEE Main

Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It opens doors to NITs, IIITs and many top colleges, but not directly to IITs. Only students who qualify in JEE Main can attempt JEE Advanced.

Step 2

JEE Advanced

The second and most challenging stage, conducted by the IITs themselves. Clearing JEE Advanced earns admission to the IITs, India's most respected engineering institutions.
